No problem, gladly will post pics with my cameraphone (not too bad of resolution; 1.2 MP) And might do a build thread of the plane and review of the charger. The BC8 eStation from Bantam comes with software to do batt. analyzing. I wonder if it will work on Vista, I hope so. This will be my first electric. Mostly got to do flying around school and home without the mess. Thanks,

The Kid

I have been flying this EF Yak on the same combo you are going to use, for about 6 months now. The only difference is the battery, I use thunderpower 2100's. I'm very happy with the performance, it flys like a big bird. It will hover at about 3/4 throttle and pull out is just OK. The only complaint I have, the gear is way to soft, it bends back at the slightest rough spot on our grass runway, and the wheels break at the spokes when flown off of asphalt. And the landings have been so nice and slow! Other than that, I love the way it flys!

I'd like to replace the gear with carbon, I think I heard graphtech is producing a set.

I should be good, I'm on a grass runway.

Thats awesome to hear!! I was thinking of this plane for my next project on 4 cell, and actually was thinking of a new charger, how many batteries can that charger charge at once? Just one?

Let me know!!

Thanks

LB

It can only charge one battery at once, but that is not a big deal to me, most chargers now only have one output anyways. Batteries charge quick nowdays anyways.

- Optimized operating software
When charging or discharging, BC8 has an 'AUTO' function that sets the feeding current or the cell count of Lithium battery automatically. Especially for Lithium batteries, it can prevent the over-charging can lead to an explosion by users fault. Every program in the unit is controlled with mutual links and communication for every possible error so it introduces a maximum safety. These can be set at users option.

- High-power and high-performance circuit
BC8 employs the circuit that has maximum output power of 150W. As a result it can charge or discharge up to 27 cells of NiCd/NiMH and 8 series of Lithium batteries with maximum current of 7.0A. Furthermore the cooling system is so efficient that can hold such a power without any trouble of running the circuit or the operating program.

- Individual voltage balancer for Lithium batteries inside
BC8 has an individual-cell-voltage balancer inside. So it does not need any balancer separately when charging Lithium batteries (LiIo/LiPo/LiFe) for cell voltage balancing.

** When the 'Balance charge' mode being performed, the balancing adapter should be connected to the balancing tab of battery pack, as well as the charger's charging lead should be connected to the output of battery pack.
And also, please pay attention to the polarity of the battery pack's output which goes to the charger's output. If it is reversed, the short-circuit can be happened on the battery pack.

- Balance individual cells on discharge
BC8 also can monitor and balance individual cells of the Lithium battery pack during the discharge process. If the voltage of any one cell varies abnormally, the process will be stopped with the error message.

- Accept various types of Lithium battery
BC8 can accept three types of Lithium batteries - LiIo, LiPo and LiFe. They have different characteristics by their chemistry. You can select any one of them that you are going to process before the job.

- Lithium battery 'Fast' and 'Storage' mode
You can charge Lithium battery for special purposes. 'Fast' charge reduces the charging time of Lithium battery and 'Storage mode controls the final voltage of the battery to be suit for long time storage.

- Data store/load
For users convenience it can store maximum 10 data of different batteries. You can establish the data contains program setting of the battery to charge or discharge continually. These data can be called out at any time you need and the process can be executed without program setting.

- Cyclic charging/discharging
Perform 1 to 5 cycles of charge>discharge or discharge>charge continually for battery refreshing and balancing.

- PC based analysis using USB communication
For technical expert, BC8 offers PC based program can analysis the characteristic of the battery by USB port. It shows a graph of voltage, current, capacity and temperature curves. It also shows the individual voltage of each cell in the Lithium battery pack.

- Back-light LCD screen
You can adjust the brightness of LCD display

- Robust outer aluminum case
High-quality aluminum case is durable and very efficient to cool out the internal heat
