Today ,I flew a scale Taylor Cub - originally done many years ago using a .049 with throttle exhaust Now using a Spektrum 2.4g radio ,2 -241 jr servos and a EFite 370 motor n 800 mapak all up 15 ounces and 330 square inches my first electric conversion! and possibly the easiest one ever done. The radio worked perfectly -and I flew it as far away as I could see easily the model . It ain't a giant model but certainly a giant step in radio ! I built my first one Last edited by dick hanson; 01-01-2006 at 10:48 PM. |

Very cool, and welcome aboard Dick. Certainly doesn't have to be Giantscale related to post here. But like you said, a giant step definitley falls into play.

Hello Dick That looks like a really good job on the conversion. Two servos, rudder and elevator only? How does she fly? I hope you take good care of her, she looks like she would fly well. Best Regards Ernie |

Glad to here another success story. I know a few people who have converted to Spektrum and love it, including me. I don't see why not to go 2.4. I've heard a few issolated incidences but other than that it lets me relax a little more.
