Default Axi 5345/16 problems

Hi is anyone but me running into problems with large scale Electric motors/ESC wiring problems. These issues sound like the motor is out of timing. I have the very latests CC HV 110 and have also tried the Spinn 99 same problems. 1st problem I noticed on 3 snaps rolls in a row motor made a screeching noise. 2nd started down line and at the bottom of down line same issue motor noise lost throttle came out of down line regained throttle noise stopped. Is anyone running a ESC motor wiring setup that has had no issues for a 50cc plane or bigger.

Hi,

What setup are you running, i'm running it in a large glider tug using the following

Jeti spin 99, APC-E 20x12 prop and 4350 lipos.
WOT is 58A no problems to date http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5vdFpu1fq_Y

I use axi 5345/18 12s 4350s and 24x12e prop same issues you report
esc is jeti spin 99, set to 1.7sec delay on acceleration.
Motor runs well, but on down lines if I go to zero throttle, I get the screech out of sync noise on throttle reaplication.
My solution has been not to go to zero throttle, works most times

what is your throttle position during your snaps?

I havent tried many snaps on this plane yet> plane is 29% extra 260 15 lbs

3/4 throttle on my snaps and zero on the down lines. Anyone using actro motors the 60 for large planes 50cc and above. Also anyone using the spinn 200. I just got one and am getting ready to install wanting to know any pearls.

Wow, I having the same problem in my Airwild 29% Extra 260. I did what kp647 said and thats not to go to zero throtle. I always keep it above quarter throttle. On my snap rolls I haven't notice anything yet, but I've only had 2 flights on it so far....but I've had notice it on the low rolling harriers I've been doing so it must be doing it on the snap rolls

Btw if anyone wondering, here's my setup:

Airwild 29% Extra 260
Axi 5345/16 with an Apc 24 x 12
Tanic 12s2p 5,000 pack
Castle Creation Phoniex HV 110
JR 8611's
JR 770S
JR 9X V2

Pulling 103 amps at full throttle and my plane weights at 15.3 pounds

I have only had the esc lose sync twice on zero throttle down lines
kept throttle slightly open yesterday and had
6 flights with no issues

using jeti spin99

Hello from France,
I just converted a 88" EF Yak with Axi 5345-16 , Jeti spin 99 and 10S 5350 FP packs. Prop is an Xoar 24x12 E.
I got exactly the same issue as yours.
Did you find the correct setup to solve this problem?

Christophe.

Try programming your PWM to 16KHz. The timing for this motor needs to be 22-24 degrees, also. If that doesn't solve it, upgrade your wire size and change any wired harnesses to boards, assuming you are using Deans "Ultra". Lowering any resistance in the power system will improve the esc and motors conversation path. High amperage in conjunction with high resistance reduces the ESC's ability to time the motor through the curve ands maintain the switching frequency.

I'm also assuming you are running 12s and a 24x12? If so, a Vess 23C is a great replacement...same thrust, less amperage and cooler sound

::Edit:: These connectors may be of liking in high amperage applications. I use Deans on almost everything, but they really are not designed for what we use them for in giant scale electric power systems.
