But the BIG planes sound so much better when they go into the dirt! And lets face it... they ALL go into the dirt eventually, unless they find themselves 20 years from now hanging up in a Friday's restaurant!

I just got back into the hobby after a 5 year break myself. Started back with a .30 size Cap with a .52 snot motor (glow fuel) just to get into the air. Just bought an Extreme Flight 47.5" Yak to get my thumbs back into 3D. I must say that I absolutely LOVE the Yak. It flies like a much bigger airplane than it is! I will agree with the rest of the replies, however, that for giant scale, gas is the most economic way to go. Can't wait to get into a Carden 35%

If you whant to get into electric go to 3dhobbyshop.com and look at there planes they are some of the best around and they will help set you up with no problem. You should be abel to do it for around 450.00 bucks the planes are built like a brick house and can really take a beating. ( dont ask) iv been flying my katana most of the summer and love it . electric planes are great for quicky flights there smaller and quieter and can fly from places a gaser cant. Go to rcgroups and read up on them you might be suprised on how far they have come. and if your realy into big planes well they have that covered to .
