IMO, you might be better off with another power system. the more weight you put on a foamie, the worse it will fly. I would pick up a 400 motor and a 38" DW Yak. But I guess it depends on your current system. I assume it's brushless? I don't have much experience with the Airfoils, but if you are looking to fly a plane indoors and outdoors, I would suggest the DW 28" but your power system is way to large....

Airfoilz are a great choice! they fly awsome and can take some abuse also. Paul is working on releasing a few new designs that have just come out. they are the Edge 540, Extra 300 and Katana. there is also a full fuse bipe in the works but not out just yet. the edge nx would be great and do everything you want it to. I think you would need a larger battery though, something in the 1800-2200 range. I have the extra 260 FF and it is awsome. in my opinion it does not compare to any of my "flat foam" planes. check out 3dxhobbies and look at the combo packages for economical power solutions or go with a hacker a20-20 and matching esc. you won't be dissapointed at all!

I have the Skinz Katana in stock. The EPP Extra will be in stock late next week. All have a solid foam fuse and CNC cut airfoil wing. Extreme Flight and I have teamed up with RCGroups and are doing a free giveaway contest on RCGroups for a plane and motor/ESC combo: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1120445 http://kalteisen.com/katana_40_foamy.html Q |

Wild Hare has a new 56" electric that is designed to be a smaller version of a giant scale aerobat. It's available as an Edge or a Slick (think Extra 260/300 that looks like an Edge). What you want is exactly what this plane is designed for, to be a smaller version of a big plane using the same setups. Throw it in your car when you don't have time for the big gasser. It has a lot of nice features, CF landing gear and wing tube (removable wing panels like the big guys), easy assembly, real steerable tail wheel, quick release full length hatch, it's a real miniature version of a GS aerobat, not a toy. $199 for plane with complete hardware or $349 complete with everything except the battery, uses a 4sLipo, 3300mah gives more than 10 minute flight times and enough power to climb vertically from a hover out of sight in about 10 seconds. http://wildharerc.com/products/E-Edge540/ They will be here about 11/15. If you're dead set on using a Park 450-480 and 1320 have a look at the 3DHobbyshop 40" Edge 540 and 42" AJ Slick.
