About Oilsands

Biography: Started RC flying in late summer of 2007 with a trainer (NexStar) and continued to fly over the winter till the spring of 2008. Did my first recover job in the fall of 2007, on the trainer. Also bought a foamie to fly at the parks, when I don't have the time to make it to the flying field. Bought 1st giant (33% Hangar 9 Extra 330L) in the fall of 2007 and recovered and cleaned airframe up over the winter. Started to fly the giant in the early summer of 2008 and started to practice IMAC flying at the end of the summer. 36% PAU Edge 540, 37% BME Ultimate, PAU mini Yak 54 and Great Planes Yak 54 3d foamy bought in winter of 2008. Bought a Comp-arf 2.6m Yak 55sp in 2009 shortly after selling the H9 33% Extra 330L. Competed in one IMAC (Basic) event in 2009 with the PAU 36% Edge 540, only able to compete in one event in 2010 with the 36% PAU Edge 540. Traded the 37% BME Ultimate (2nd one after crashing the 1st one) for a 40% JTec Extra 330L before the summer of 2010. Looking forward to attend 3 or 4 IMAC events in Alberta this 2011 season.

Interests: Fort McMurray R/C Modellers Club, Central Alberta Radio Flying Field (CARFF), and Capital City Flyers (CCF).
Occupation: Fire Fighter, EMT-A, and Journeyman Heavy Duty Technician.
