Started flying RC about 40 years ago. Was one of the first to fly 1/4 scale in St Louis when we use to get our engines by taking them out of chain saws and the only thing available from the industry was a prop addaptor to fit on the crank shaft. Had to improvise a lot to make a motor mount and made many a muffler by brazing brass tubing. Got out of RC for a while and replaced it with full scale aerobatic flying. Currently own a Bellanca Decathlon 8KCAB. Recently got back into RC and have been enjoying electrics because of their simplicity, some of which I can walk out the door and fly in my front yard. Getting back into larger scale...a lot has changed..for the better I might add.
