Some Fall Flying at Tiffin

Well the RC events are mostly ove and now it is time to focus more on full-scale. Im hoping to get my pilots license by next spring before the RC events start back up. Then after that i would like to do aerobatic training because that is something I really want to learn more about. Ill also try to work for my IFR and Twin engine rating while having fun in the RC world and finishing up high school. Then its off to college...Im excited!

Joe Nall... What can i say about Joe Nall? IT WAS AMAZING!!!! WOW! When we arived on Monday i was blown away by the beauty of Triple Tree and the size of the event. We got a great camping spot on the 3D line by the pond, and set up the trailer and canopy right on the edge of the pond on the 3D line. In the morning i would get the Slick ready to fly then roll it up to the center line, after that i usualy play with the Icon A5 in the pond. Triple Tree was 100% filled up with planes, campers, and golfcarts. I spent most of my time on the 3D line but went up to the Main Flight line for noon demos and warbird time. The food and bath housed lived up to what people said they were like, AMAZING! The planes i saw where all beautiful and most of the 3D pilots where very skilled but some where out of control. The noon demos did not impress me very much from what i saw in videos from previous years but some of the stuff was pretty cool, i really enjoyed Jase Dussia 's performance. The planes on the float line where Huge! The electric line was out of control and the 3D line was fun! I got some good flights on the slick and dipped the tail 4 times. At night it was AMAZING! Jase Dussia and Joe Smith did awesome night flights and i flew the extra a few times at night, after that everyone just threw out the little foamies and do that all night. I will definatly be returning next year!

I got the engine broken in so now im going to try to get used to 3D with giant scale.

Did some evening flying to break-in the DA-120. The Slick is lookin nice!

Got the maiden of the slick done! The engine runs flawless. No burps, perfect temp and RPM, no sputtering and no tuning! And the plane didnt need any trimming, and flew like it was on rails!

Hi! I am looking for a 1.3GHz FPV System. I am going to need to get it by this weekend for my new job! I had already checked Ready Made RC but they were out of stock on everything. I was wondering of anyone knows any other sites that I can trust.

What I am looking for is something with a 1-2 mile range, it can transmit and receive a 720p video quality, and it wont break up too bad when I fly around trees.

I am getting the FatShark Attitude SD Video Goggles.

If anyone can help me with finding a website or even recommending a transmitter, receiver, and antenna that would be great!

I went out to Wakeman airport yesterday with a few buddies! it was a great day to fly, the winds didn't go over 7mph, it was a little cloudy and sunny, and the weather is warming up. I got to remaiden the Extra and it flew great! it is nose heavy though so I might switch it to from pull-pull to push-pull.

This was my first year going to ETOC. I heard a lot of things about it but did not know what to expect. This was a amazing show from the flying to the demos to the E X Games! I was blown away at the skill in all the pilots and i had a good laugh and a lot of fun during the demos, raffles, and E X Games! I want to congratulate RJ Gritter on being the 2013 ETOC champion, and Gernot Bruckmann and Christophe Lausberg for making it into the top three! Also great job to all the other pilots they all have an amazing talent! I learned a lot from this and hopefully by next year i will have formed this amazing talent. Well if you missed the great show on saturday it took a long movie of the top 3 unknown sequences and other random sequences, then at the end is the E X Games which should give you a good laugh! ENJOY!!!

Well i had a great time last night flying at the Spire Institute! Only one more Fly-In left this year..., but im eager to get back outdoors and do some giant scale 3D flying! i learned to things last night... In midair collisions, Quadcopters always win when hitting someone from behind, and push-props always lose when hitting someone from behind lol. i think i only spent about 45 mins flying last night and 1 hour and 15 mins talking and doing 3D demos for some people, but that is ok, i love to share my experience and skill with other people! here are some videos i took last night! enjoy!!
