Three hours of meetings today. Clock will never reach quitting time. I'm trapped in the day before a 4 day weekend of great flying weather. Kind of like one of those movies where you are in the water and can see the shore, but as hard as you swim you never get there.

Taking a four day weekend to rest up from outage. Mainly just to get away from job. Saturday we are going to Talladega Speedway to let sis-in-law use her ride-along gift certificate, and I will do another 20 laps. No point in wasting a trip just to watch her. This will put me up to 70 laps. Made it to 176mph. Trying for 180+ top speed and a better average lap speed. Think I need a speedway car instead of a shorttrack type. Cars are supposed to be limited to 185 but some are more aerodynamic than others. DJRA buys all types of retired race cars. Then maybe get some flying in on Fri. or Sun. Weather is going to be good. Getting the batteries charged. Believe it or not I bought a trainer two weeks ago. I'm going to put a GMS 75 on it if it will fit. May have to put the servos in the tail. Should be a screamer. The wing is fairly straight and 65in. Very little dihedral. Should be aerobatic. Also going to make a taildragger out of it. It will be my only nitro plane. SMASLT

Finally got it behind us. Back to 8hr. days. Back to flying again!! Maybe a Super Decathlon in my future if the price is right. Like I need more airplanes. May get a chance later in the week to see if my 33% Cap still knows me. The field is between me and work. Maybe stop on the way home for an hour or two. SMASLT(So many airplanes, so little time)

Getting into to the last days of our annual outage for maintenance. Tired of 12hr. days. No time to fly. Maybe back to eights today or tomorrow. Like this every year. Grass needs mowing, etc. Airplanes need attention. All I can do is work and sleep, but the end is in sight. Back to Talladega Speedway for more laps on the 21st. Can't wait.
