Geared to educate the public on all spectrum's of aviation but primarily focusing on remote controlled Warbird aircraft from the past and present. Wings & Warbirds Over Port Clinton is a Family Fun event held annually in August at the Erie-Ottawa International Airport. Along with Full Scale Warbird appearances and flight demos, it makes this event one of the most unique and fun events around. We have on-site Hobby Vendors, Aviation Vendors, Aviation Education and RC Education, and of coarse food and fun. Come relax in the sun and watch some mesmerizing aircraft that will blow you away.
This Event is one of the most fun and unique Warbird Fun-Fly events in the country! We encourage all aircraft to have Military colors in this event but is not necessary. All size models over a 46" wingspan are welcome and all means of propulsion are welcome. We have full scale fly overs and static aircraft during the event. RC vendors, general aviation vendors, and military displays are located on vendor row.
RC Pilots are automatically entered in a pilot raffle that is held every half hour each day to win some fantastic RC prizes and modeling gifts. Onsite camping is also available!
Takeoff and Landing runway is 1200' by 100' paved and 800 by 100 grass strip.
