Who knew some paperwork in the mail could get me so amped up! I have been running an RC event for over 10 years now. It was mentioned to me by Randy Cameron that it might not be a bad idea to become a contest director with the AMA. Brilliant!! I took the test, got the required signatures and thanks to the help from my district VP Kris Dixon I'm official! Turns out Kris and his father camped next to us on the 3D line way back when at Nall. Kris's dad and I are both hair farmers and enjoy the sounds of the Allman Bros!
Thanks to Randy, Kris and the folks at the AMA for making me official!!
Each year I host NashBro, the world's largest profile plane event, in Leipersfork, TN. We have been flying in the pasture each year in September for the last 12 years. This year I decided it was time to have a float in the annual Christmas parade. My daughter and her teeny bopper girlfriends liked the idea of sitting on the parade boot of my 1976 El Dorado and throwing candy at people. I used suction cups to mount a Lamyak (from WrongWay RC) on the hood. We decorated the car, gave the kids bags of candy and off we went!!
I fly profile planes, multirotors, FPV quads and winged craft. I'm also into FPV RC trucks. I cut my teeth stick building planes and I'm currently into just about everything RC related. My current project is a tricked out Carbon Z Cub. Tons of fun. Y

I have run RCGroups.com, the world's largest and most active RC site, since 2007. I now also run FG and head up the editorial team. I was a part of Flying Giants with Mad Max and Bob Sadler before the site was open.
