i started off with those cheap little walmart-airhogs-helis. then got tired of trying to modify them (to make them fly how they should...what a waste of money) and graduated to my first RTF chinese peice of junk airplane-glider thing. (may it rest in peices. )
then eventually got into scratchbuilt foamies. all electric stuff. built tons. crashed even more. i really have a lot of fun with my foamies. i build them however i want to, and do whatever i have to to make em fly. usually paint em up with my trusty airbrush too. :) i like for them to look good
then started moving to built-up balsa electrics. built a few balsa planes from scratch/kits. killed a few... but learned a lot
then moved into some nitro engines. i have/re-built a lanier shrike with a .25 engine on it. its a fun project. also converted a stervens-aero modle FRED to nitro. :) one of my favorite planes.
got into 3D flying. i have a few 3d planes - 42" slick is my baby.
My current pride and joy : 70" AJ Slick. in blue and silver racing scheme, with custom redbull graphics! got a DLE30 powering this beast. its a 3D, torque rolling monster :) been crashed really hard once because a plug vibrated out of the rx... a rally important plug. but i repaired it like new!
