Understand perfectly.....taking care of my 97+ Mom two weeks on two weeks off so flying is really limited, but the way I figure it I'll always be able to fly, but once Mom passes on there's no enjoying her company and stories, at least on this Earth

I kind of figured such with no mention in the manual.
I went out flying one day about two months ago, just can't seem to get the time yet.

The 20-300 was designed without the need for wires that's why the wings are about 2% thicker vs the TOC 10-300 version. I actually had one of the 20-300's built from the factory with the mounts installed in the wings for wires, it made a pretty big difference in how stiff the plane felt in the air but wasn't really needed.

The version of the AW Ultimate you have was built to be flown without flying wires so you’re okay!

The earlier AW Ultimate had the flying wires as a requirement

Hope you’re out their flying my friend

acerc Hmmm. I have been flying the AW 150cc Ultimate without wires, don't even see how any can be added on the fuse side. The manual makes no mention of wires either.

I've got a Billings, MT friend with a World Models Ultimate on a DA150; he flies it old school low n slow. If he tries to fly very hard, it will even pop a connector or wire on the flying wires. There's definitely some flex and stress going on. Although, flying without the wires COULD end in a spectacular wing clap and lots of confetti fluttering down
