Can I put hangar 9 120 size floats on a 73” yak?

Most float planes are high wing. Is it ok to do a yak with mid wing ? I could do flaperon mix.

BarracudaHockey I wouldn't have any trepidation about flying the H-9 15cc Cub with floats. I almost bought one at Perry for that very reason.

Aaroncmh Is anyone flying floats with a 20cc gas enigjne?

Searches in this thread only brought up planes that are discontinued for the most part.

At this point I was leaning towards a Seagull Glasair or Hangar 9 15cc Cub.

Thanks so much,
Aaron

daddysam I tried to taxi test my Hempel Cub on Sig Floats this week. Somewhere in these threads and magazine articles there should be warnings to float flying newbies to NOT try to do anything when there is a brisk wind blowing! It only took seconds for the wind to pick up a wing, submerge a float, and push the wingtip a foot under water. That's when I found out that the back of the wing was pretty much open behind the aileron. Took a second to put a quart of water into the wing. I have some mods to make to my water rudders too.

Thanks for experts' input!

My BUSA 1/3 scale EDO floats weigh about 6 or 7lbs all up.
