Hey Paffy,
I did a little reading about the DBU and its still a base coat like the DBC but it takes a catalist unlike the DBC which takes nothing but reducer. From what I read they also said that they are trying to do away with it because most people are using DBC but having a hard time getting rid of it because alot of people that started using DBU like it and still demand it over DBC. As far as taping I guess just do what you said and test it after 45 minutes.
