Re: ButcherFest 2007 is in the books!
I started off the weekend by ramming my brandnew 35% SD 260 into the treeline. I was sure that I was going to be miserable all weekend and guess what? I had the most fun out of all the contests I have been to (3 total, but still).
Just moments after my poor airplane hit the trees, I was offered at least 5 different planes to fly, most of them bigger than mine was! I told myself I wouldn'y risk anyone elses baby, but come saturday morning I couldn't resist any longer. Mr. Flyin Woodbutcher himself graciously lent both me and Jamie his brand new 2.6 Comp ARF Yak55.
It flew so well I managed a third place finish in a basic class with some really good pilots.
By the time saturday was underway, I had really forgotten all my troubles and things just got better with all the 3D in the evening and ice dunking and UCD beating!!!! ... and food!!!
Thanks so much to Kent H, Kent P, Pete, Jerry and everyone else who came for making this the impossible to not enjoy event that it was! If there is one in the fall, I'm there, no question.
