The FlyingGiants is onsite in Muncie Indiana at The AMA for the 2007 Pattern NATS! Crack field reporters Mark and Chuck will be bringing back the best in photos, scores, and writeups from the competition. Stay tuned, and THANKS guys!
Well, the first day of competition is in the books and some great stories are emerging.
Intermediate, Advance, Masters and FAI have all flown 2 rounds each and the early results are in. Intermediate and Advanced use a simple 4 of 6 round scoring system normalized to determine the placings. Masters uses a matrix for the piots to have the opportunity to fly agaisnt all competitors on different lines and different judges to determine the top 8 pilots who advance to the finals on saturday. FAI uses the first 4 rounds in a similiar matrix to move the top 20 piots to semifinals and then on to the Final 8.
I will go into this more as the days end and prepare you for the following days events.
Currently, Masters and Intermediate fly in the mornings and FAI and advanced fly in the afternoons.
Tomorrow I will get to cover the Masters line as I wont be working impound and then after completeing my rounds in the afternoon try to get more FAI news.
Following is the scores for Intermediate and Advanced and early tomorrow morning i will load the Masters and hopefully FAI. I apologise for the delay but the images with the score sheets are not loading.
