You could upgrade the STD to an SE, but it will end up costing you a bunch more than just picking up the SE kit from the beginning. Personally, I would go for an SE to start and then if you crash and don't want to pay for some of the expensive bits, you can just replace them with items from the STD kit. (Aluminum boom and the aluminum TT for example)
A great new option between the two is the Raptor 90 3D kit which should be listed on the
www.acehobby.com website. I realize you are not in the US, but this site should give you a good idea of what is contained in each kit.
