Default Old Lanier Giles, worth finishing?

I've had an old Lanier Giles kit sitting around the shop for about 7 years now. Fuse is done (and cut about a pound of it during building. Big foam wings that call for partial sheeting front and rear and capstrips. I'm thinking of sheeting it entirely with 1/16 instead of the 3/32 partial sheeting. My question to all... is this thing worth finishing, or is it going to be a lead sled? I'm not really into 3D that much, more IMAC type stuff on the 'sport' level, just flying and having fun. The plans call for a G-62 up front, but i'm thinking more like a ZDZ 80 or such.

thanks!
