Hi guys,
I have now the G3.5, Phoenix and AFPD, so I 'm talking from my experience. I do use all 3!
I've started with G3.5, but editing airplanes is very complicated, you lost more time with the setup than with the flying itself, and I could never trim the plane properly! my airplanes always dive to the ground no matter the GC not even the down trust.
But with time I could have one plane (the YAK of course) that can fly reasonable good. The graphics in G3.5 sucks! no photo scenery just computer generated stuff.
Then I bought Phoenix, I didn't like the earlier versions and ended giving up the sim, a few weeks ago I downloaded the last version 1.0.4 i, what a huge surprise! With some rapid set up actions I ended with a YAK that flies so much realistic than the G3.5 one. I have to learn again how to make rolling harriers and torque rolls, these were very easy in the G3.5..
Regarding AFPD, I read so many good things of it in the internet, and in Marteen de Moor web site (he's famous videos) that I decided that I must give it a try. I have for one week now.
I only tested so far the standard planes and the ones that are for download in Docinsane web site, I was very disappointed!
The planes fly so unrealistically to me, they lift the ground in less than one airplane length, I can do everything with them, rolling harriers are like flying forward, and they are so easy (I cannot do them properly in real life!). They all float like a 100 gr foamy!
Can anybody tell me what am I doing WRONG??!!
I am sure AFPD is much better than this.
From these 3 sim's, Phoenix is by far the better for now.
Just my 2 cents
