Default Re: Motor Choice for 34% CA Pitts Stinker??

I just started putting my pitts stinker together, I'm installing a DA85 in mine. This plane was designed around the 3W75 side carb with pitts muffler, it drops right in without any mods. Any other motor will most likely require mods. The DA85 will require cutting a hole in the fire wall for
the carb and cutting about 1" off the bottom of the firewall for a standard Jtec pitts muffler. I talked to Jtec and they can make a pitts muffler that will not require cutting the fire wall.
