Extreme Flight vs. Aero Works dimensions
Does anyone know why there is a massive difference in the fuselage length of the 50cc Aero Works Yak 54 and the 50cc Extreme Flight Yak. The Extreme has an 88 inch wing while the Aero is 85 so that accounts for some of the difference. However the Extreme fuse is 86 inches vs. 73 inches for the Aero. I assume this is mainly a design difference for aerobatic performance, is this correct? The only other factor I know is that 73 inches long on the Aero is to the cowl, no spinner. I don't know if 86 inches on the Extreme is with or without a spinner. From a performance stand point does anyone know which airframe has the upper hand? My guess is the extreme but performance is relative to ability.
The main reason I ask is that I have a limited amount of space in my car to haul an aircraft of this size. The Aero Works should fit for sure and the Extreme just might if it is easy to take off the rudder and I pull the prop and spinner. Which on that not the Extreme Flight Extra might fit as well doing the same. The other option is to go with a 50cc size bipe like the Aero Works Pitts Python. Any other 50cc bipe suggestions other then the Great Planes Ultimate?
