To be honest who cares what the ground looks like. If it were important it would be a car sim. I know its not much better than the 3.5 but i feel some of the flight physics are a little more real. Try going to the view>show> and clear out all the objects so its just you the ground and the plane, it will speed things up a little and the plane will be sharper. I do like the new helis though.
