Default Re: Comp Arf Giles

Well<
I had one of the first generation ones.
Before they went through and redid the molds.

I won sportsmans with ease with it. The giles is a very good IMAC plane. In 3D your going to have to work a little harder at some of the 3D manuevers. Harrier is not so good. Hovering it will do but its a little more difficult to find the vert sweet spot if ya know what I mean.

Now for what it does do very well in IMAC is roll - The airplane is a rolling machine!!
it doesn't lose it's nose in the roll hardly at all. It makes ya look good. Rudder coupling is also minimized. Not as decoupled as a Yak 54 but it does roll better than a Yak.

Snap rolls are not quite as nice as an extra - but doable with practice...

If you are really dead serious about IMAC the Extra or Super Extra is probably a better choice since it kicks ars at IMAC and 3D... as far as Comp Arfs go!

The Giles shines only in IMAC but lacks in the 3D department - IMHO...
