Re: Which airframe 40%
Ultimate is big and clunky... a major effort to assemble at the field.
The Dietrich looks to fly very well... early versions were a "Bow-Flex"... if they stiffened'em up... good choice. Check out the DOD Kyle video.
Ace-Thunder-Tiger/SD/AM/TOC1 37.5 Yak is a very lively 3D plane. Throws around really well...
I have not flown any of these planes... but I am weekly flying buddies with people who have and my observations are consistant with what they say. I did own a AW Ultimate and I thought it was a coupling pig... A veritable trainer for upright Harriers though. Did nice Harrier rolls too.
I think you oughta consider the QQ 120" yak. Or even the GP 38% Extra... street price of $1000.00 and the ARF includes a lot of the hardware!
Or... I will sell you a 38% Columbo that needs wheel pants and repaint on the cowl!!! lol
My personal fav's: ZN-Line Extra (designed by CPLR) and Compy SX. Two different planes with different personalities.
