Is the other plane in the very bottom right hand corner of the first set of pictures the 68" Extreme Flight Yak54?

Nice Build!

Yeah both of the ones on the bottom are 68" versions. One day I will end up finishing one and using the other for parts.

Anyway, I might aswell update this build and what has happend.

I still have the plane and it has no crashes, ( you may have thought so by the beat face) and I have just been fed up with it. First off, the Incidence in the horizontal stabs was a pain to get right, the STUPID Saito 180 I put in it gave me big problems. I don't know why but this motor ran SUPER in my Sig Mayhem, but as soon as I put it in my Yak the muffler port got completely stripped out and I had to make a strap on header and then had to use couple hose couplers and hose clamps and that never worked and it was just ruining the plane (not really, just little details I like to keep nice were fading away) and THEN after all this (I had about a month to get this plane out of the box and flying before the FX3D) my buddy (this is not your fault Matt) talked me into getting a OS 160 for this plane so I can make it to the FX3D... Well... he talked me into getting it sunday (4 days before the FX3D) I overnighted it Monday night, got it Tuesday and broke it in and mounted it in the same day I got it. Wednesday I maidened the plane with the new engine and it wouldn't even pull out of a hover due to using a 18x6 APC and I needed some baffling in the cowl. So, I figured since the plane is flying and no problems I should be able to baffle the cowl and put a 17x6 APC prop on it and do the rest at the FX3D. Well I get to the FX3D with great hopes of flying with a reliable plane..... I flew the plane and it had a better pull out and seemed to be running good.... so I thought..... WAM, out of no where the engine quits... so, I land and check the tank and I have 3/4 of a tank of FUEL... I check the plug and it's fine, I check the fuel lines and they're fine.... I fly it again and it does it AGAIN with 3/4 tank of fuel... soo.... We figured for sure it must be that the clunk came off.... checked the clunk in the tank and it seems OK and it was on fine, put the tank all back together and moved the tank as far forward as possible and tried to fly her again.... This time it didn't seem to quit but after 15 minutes of flight it quit... Not even thinking how long I was flying... I ran it out of fuel.. "Hallelujah it's FIXED!" "must of been some thing with the tank being forward" soo.... I fill it up again to do some hucking and I kept it high to just see if it would quit again.... Yep, it did.... checked the tank and yep it had 3/4 tank of fuel Soo, the whole FX3D event I flew it high and the only hardcore hucking I got was with my foamy...

Well anyway.... when I got home my buddy said lets go flying to see if it still has the problem and yes it does. and in that flight one of the muffler stacks on the pitts muffler vibrated off so now it has been sitting since a couple days after the FX3D. i'm just about now getting interest back into it to try and fix it.

The story doesn't end here.

So, this past Sunday at our Club's local swap meet I was talking to a friend and he told me how the OS 160s with a pitts style muffler have this running problem and that I need a $50 fuel pump..... Ehhh... Now I need to put MORE? money into this plane.... oyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy...

Thats my Extremeflight Yak experience. hope yall don't have engine troubles like me... and I'm sure some of you are as I type this.
