Exactly, Assan neither claimed to have invented some kind of super-monopole-antenna, nor did they claim to hop when they don't.

The problem is that if you don't hop, it's worse flying 2.4GHz than 35 MHz (I'm in europe) because that frequency is reserved for RC - 2.4GHz isn't.
