Re: Carden YAK ARF from H9
First Giant
Hi Guys, I'm new to gas planes and have decided on giant scale to get my feet wet. After several months of exhausting research I've settled on the H9/Carden 89 YAK and put one on reserve from my LHS. I do keep second guessing myself and wonder if I should tone it down and start out with something a little smaller like a .90 or 100. But I do prefer to stick with 2stroke gas and not mess around with nitro. I've been flying all electric for a few years and feel that I've reached the singularity on the economics of electric flight. I don't want to make the same mistake with gas as I (Still do) with electrics which has been buy planes, fly them a couple times and move on, as these giants do cost a little more. I do have a 40 YAK and love it; it’s my favorite 3D so I figure out of all the YAKs this seems like the best balance between cost, readiness and size.
So my question is; for an intermediate RC'er who is looking to jump into gas, is this Giant size Carden YAK a good candidate?
Thanks
