Default Re: advice on right plane for IMAC/precision

Yes, the 75CC 260 is a very nice plane, I have the 100cc version as my freestyle plane. I fly a 40% ZN-Line as my IMAC plane. But i really think, given your original post, you would like the 34% CA better. It is about the same size in length and wingspan as the 100cc AW 260. But because it is designed thinner in wing, and fuse (more like a pattern ship), than the AW designs, it weighs a lot less, so the DA-85 will work perfectly. So given your type of flying, you will like it better. The extra size presents better in the air than a smaller plane would. Take a look at the video on AWs site. Although, it shows almost all 3-D flying, you'll notice the proportions of the plane are very pattern like. You will also notice that even the 3-D flown, is faster with longer lines than the slow harrier stuff you see in most demos.

If you are considering IMAC, then bigger will get you higher scores, so the 34% is going to work better for you.

By the way QQ now has a 33% YAK that has been optimized for the DA-85. A very good IMAC/3-D plane, but a long way from a pattern style design. Sill, also worth looking at.
