You are in luck.....I have one and I believe I put a thread on here. If not I do have some construction pics on my computer.
Things I would change.
-cut lightening holes in the stabs and rudder
-cut lightening holes in the bottom foam from the back of the hatch to the tail.
-not waste my time building the hatch for the tailweel
-make the ailerons slightly larger than the plans (only slightly).
-Get a CF wingtube
-make it acceptable to cans, even if you don't use them
-you may lighten up the motorbox but I don't think it needs it.
Mine came out right around 29lbs with smoke. It was also tailheavy. I also built it per the plans and the hatch goes from the cowl to the rudder. I really liked mine. Its currently sitting in the garage waiting for me to finish installing radio gear for its remaiden after the prop expolded in flight.
Let me know if you need anything specific. At the bottom is a Power Point file with more pics

It's also true that Aerotech has had some issues lately and many were flogged here on FG and were justified as such.
I have 2 planes from them (before there were problems). Both are outstanding and like a Carden, it can be heavy. Just think about things before you build it. Use glue where it is needed and lightening things that you can.
The plane will only fly as good as you build it.
