Install every thing you have except your battery/batteries then plug the wings in and set up the plane like your going to fly it minus fuel and battery/s. Set it up to balance it then sit the batteries on top of the model then move forward or backwards until the model balances and then you will know where the batts need to be installed. |

I really didn't need instructions on how to balance the model. I've been building models for quite a few years. I suppose you meant well, thanks.
As it turns out, the weight of the battery(s) was immaterial to the balance of the model unless I put one that weighs twice as much in the tail. It took 8 oz of weight located in the fuse just in front of the tail wheel mount to bring the model into balance. I could have done it with a couple of 6 volt NiMH 's in the tail but I didn't feel like building the wiring harness, so didn't bother.
On the maiden, the model jumped off the grass with a minimal take off roll at full power. On a later flight, half throttle got me a scale "Cub" TO, no sweat. The G26 is more than enough power for sure.
