aviti, the plane is similar to the TBM/Von design because it was built off of Dave's (D. Von) drawings... but Jim has done some other things to it, making things better as he goes along.

Jim is not really a new builder (on the manufacturer scale) of the plane... he not wanting to take the plane and build thousands (not really what his scope is for the plane), he just notived that he could build this plane better and offer new features that might be appealing to the higher end market... also the 3D market.

Jim is only building four because... in his words... "I'm old and tired and want to make enough beans to buy a 42% Dalton".
