SCALE FLYING WIRES
True scale “working” streamline wires are available in 6 different sizes.
These scale streamlined flying wires work great for tail plane braces, float cross bracing wires or anywhere else you need scale flying wires.
Authentic reproduction with
streamline
cross-section in the following sizes:
2.0 x 0.5 mm; 2.4 x 0.6 mm; 3.0 x 0.8 mm; 3.7 x 0.9 mm; 4.2 x 1.0 mm; 4.7 x 1.1 mm
The wires are oval formed stainless steel with a rolled thread at both ends (left and right hand) in the following sizes
M1.6; M2; M2.5; M3; M3.5 or M4. Sizes are according to wire size.
Clevises at both ends with clevis pin, cotter pin and lock nut made from nickel-plated steel. The lock nuts feature a much smaller (scale) hexagon compared to the other commercially available nuts. They look
very
scale.
Any desired length from 6” up to 46” can be supplied.
Wires with the threads M1.6; M2 and M2.5 can only be sold in pairs. A slight difference in length of up to 1/16” (at lengths of about 36”) is possible. It is therefore recommended to find the mean distance of the right and left hand dimensions unless they need to be different lengths.
This must be stated when ordering
.
Special quick disconnect end fittings are available for an invisible in wing installations, such as Pitts, Waco etc.
