Re: 100cc planes
The QQ 101 looks like an awesome flier, but I chose the AW 104" 260. It can be built light and can easily CG with an 85 if that is the engine you choose. I Have had the AW 260 with a BME 110, a big electric, and now a new 260 with a DA-100. It came out very noseheavy with the batts in the stock location, so noseheavy in fact that I ended up with the batts all the way in the tail! This is actually a good thing because that means that it will be easier to balance with an 85, and be lighter!!! I did some work to my 260, and added a full carbon suit, and ended up at 25.7 pounds. That means I could have potentially finished at 24.5 pounds with an 85!
I still recommend a twin, though, as they are smoother running engines so the airframe doesn't wear out so fast.
