IMO the first thing you need to learn is drawing, the help available depends on the program you use. Then learn G-Code, learn the basic G and M codes and how to read them. Once you have created a drawing, you can shoot out the g-code, check it(because you will know how to read it) and then find someone who has a CNC or build your own like I did. check out cnczone.com and you will get an idea what your getting into. you may also want to check out a local community college and see if they offer any classes.
