Just to clarify so we are on the same page. The airframe weighs 18.5#. The E-motor, Batts and ESC weigh an additional 6.5 to 7# (poss + or - a few oz). This makes the fly weight at 25#. Gotta have unlimited vertical for what this plane is designed to do.
I, too, thought about 80cc as a possibility.
The front end is all angled CF. The E folks thought the E motor I was using would "torque" off the front-end. The CF design is very solid...I think, could be wrong, it could handle the popping vibration of a gasser...could try.
At 25# are we in agreement 80-100cc???
