Default Re: aeroworks 100cc yak and 80

Im also building my second AW Yak 54 and agree with jdearduff. Im waiting for my exhaust and CF landing gear to get a total weight, i took a dremel to the plane trying to save weight. Im using da 100 with da mufflers, my first one final weight was 29lbs 11oz and it flew what i thought was alright. But after reading threads on how to get weight saved on these planes i cant wait. if you go with a 80 size i would highly recommend you use a pipe, but that plane isnt pipe ready, which then means you have to design something which is probably no big deal, but now adding weight. IMO a 80 with a pitts just wouldnt be enough. In my setup 2 5955 in each aileron 2 5955 on the rudder and one 5955 on each elevator. I have been wondering if i could get away with getting rid of a servo from each aileron and the rudder and still be alright?
