Default 42% Dalton 300 or 35% Dalton 260?

So I'm interested in getting a giant scale kit to build. I'd really like to build a 42% Dalton 300 (regular version), trim the wingspan down to 120" by taking 1.5" off each wing tip, and using a DA 170 on MTW cans. But, I also want something that will excel at both 3D and precision. I know some people say if you want to do both precision and 3D to go with a 35% kit. So I guess my real question is would I be disappointed in the 3D capabilities of the Dalton 300 or should I just stick to a 35% Dalton 260 with a DA 100 on MTW cans?

Feel free to share your thoughts and opinions!
