I just saw this thread so i thought i would reply.

My name is jeff and i'm an FG addict!

I hate this damn site since it's made me spend multi thousands of dollars in a hobby i can't seem to get away from. I think i'm more addicted than a 15 yr herion addict...and have probably spent just as much. Although , every day ( about 20 times per day) every time i come here , i feel as happy as a fat chick in an ice cream shop.....so i'm defending my addiction.

My new phlosiphy is a 12 step program that i think all FG memebers should know........

1. Pick out your aircraft first

2. Decide if it's going to be an Arf or a kit built bird

3. Decide weather the the color scheme of your bird will "look cool" to your friends.

3. Pick what motor you are going to use ( always make sure it's extremely OVER POWERED!)

4. Pick which electronics you are going to use.

5. Decide which exhaust is going to suit your aircraft the best.

6. Decide if it's going to be a slow build.....or are you going to rape it out in 2 days?

7. Decide how you are going to tell your wife about this new MUST HAVE aircraft you just bought.

8. Decide how long you are going to put up with sleeping on the couch before you grow a set.

9. Decide weather you can afford to go two full months on eating nothing but top ramen and eggs.

10. Make a choice of buying a "back up aircraft" is worth a possible divorce.

11. Make sure you decide to marry a chick that supports your hobby....should have done this first!

12. Come to terms that no matter what you do....you will always be addicted to this hobby!

Just found my girlfriends CC#....wasn't there a really kick ass sale on airplanes somewhere?
