You will just have to manage your collective more carefully. Don't let it over rev on negative pitch manuevers, and if it bogs down, be quick to give it the appropriate collective pitch to speed up the headspeed. If you find that you are doing this alot, then you are flying the heli harder than you think, or you are not managing the collective properly. I would spend a little more money and install a governor, it's worth it. I use the Curtis Youngblood active governor. I like it because you don't have to arm it on. It's always on and governs the throttle when it needs to unlike other systems in which you hit a switch and the governor keeps the headspeed constant until you switch it off. Here's something weird. I have a Raptor 90 that I fly without a governor. I have flown it hard and no matter what I do, I can't get it to bog down, or overrev the motor. I fly it just like my other helis with governors. When I got the thing in the air, I was tapped out on toy money, so I flew it without buying a governor. It just does not need a governor, so up to this day, I have'nt bothered putting one in it! Been 2 years now and the OS .91 SZH in it is still running strong. Can't figure that one out.
