6-7 foot wingspan? if this is your first 3D plane i would suggest going smaller, something cheap that you can bang around.. anything scale can not take hits so well, you want durability.. a .46 size glow profile or a 200-300watt electric setup is cheap and will teach you a ton for little money.. for ARF's there is the OMP Yak or edge and the Extreme flight "Chinn" Yak55sp, or the valuehobby.com sabre47, or 35" electrics
if you can build a kit the Mojo is hard to beat
