Default Re: Composite-ARF Extra 2.12m or Extreme Flight Extra 300 88"?

First of all...I love composite air frames. Most of my planes have been Composite-Arfs and this is what I have learned. The larger the plane the more it makes sense that it is composite. Example...I have had both Extreme Flight 88" Extra and the 50cc Comp-Arf 2x2 Extra. The EF Extra is a heavier plane, but is a good bit larger. It also flies better (a lot better) and lands slower. The Compy 2x2 Extra, 2.12 Yak and Extra all land a little hot. Once you get to a 100cc or 150cc plane that is where the composites shine. They typically (not all) but typically weigh less than their wood ARF counter parts. My Compy 3.0 Yak crawls in to land and needs virtually no mixing to perform knife edge flight. They are harder to repair, but I didnt buy them to repair them anyway...

Now back tot he 50cc planes. You will get more plane for the money by buying Extreme Flight RC...(I think they have the best 50cc plane on the planet)...and much easier to build too.
