Default Re: Electric Power Engine on my Osmose

Federico,

I much prefer the Plettenberg 30-10 Evo to the Axi. The Plettenberg is lighter, and I feel smoother and more powerful. The Pletty can also handle larger props, I think the Axi only likes up to a 20x13.

The Castle Creations speed controller is a good choice, I think you have to make sure the timing is correct in the settings otherwise the motor is not happy. I know the Jeti 90 Opto works well. Also, the Rasa 20x15 props are a great choice as they are a lot stiffer than the APC props, less torquey, and quieter. The blades are available from ICARE-RC, the same distributor for the motor in North America, and East R/C makes a hub.

As for a charger, FMA Direct CellPro 10S- bar none.

This is a more expensive setup than the aforementioned Axi, however I think you'll be a lot happier with it, especially with an airplane as large as the Osmose. Where are you from?

Buena suerte!
