What company that has a good reputation is going to throw it away for $25.

The shipping calculators are simply "Estimates", and in no way is an accurate representation of what the actual shipping may be.

I worked at a print shop for 6 years, and we shipped everything from boxes that weighed 2 Ounces to palates that weighed 2500 lbs.

And we would ALWAYS have to get actual shipping rates after the "estimate" was done on the day we were going to ship. Shipping rates change almost daily with gas prices, and such.

And when a guy is blowing out an airframe at pretty much cost, why would he eat an additional $25.
