Default Re: 150cc AJ Slick

Thanks for the offer Charles.

Unfortunately, my 126" Slick is out of commission.... for good. It was six of the most wonderful, nerve racking, and expensive flights I've ever had in my (short) RC carreer.

I dumb thumbed it once when I hit the crash switch on the 9303 (which I was unfamiliar with)... you know the Aux 2 switch that causes the other half of the elevator to flip up / down . It crashed HARD, and broke the fuselage in half in MULTIPLE places

I rebuilt it, recovered it, and Andrew was kind enough to send me his spare canopy. Unfortunately, on her 4th flight, I soon find out that my repair was inadequate. The plane broke right where it broke before. This time, there's no going back.

I'm so heartbroken right now, I don't know what to say. I don't think I've been this sad about a crash before that I'm actually going through a grieving process .

I've got some videos of the flights, one each in each color scheme, but they're not that exciting, as I wasn't going wild with 3D at the time.

In the short time I flew her though, could tell that this plane is a winner. I had my CG at neutral 3D, meaning it flies hands off inverted and upright. With that CG, it still tracks and does IMAC like it's on a forward CG. Snaps are beautiful and the most precise I've seen. KE-KE snaps looses no energy. However, turn the 3D rates on, and she's a wild 3D machine. Waterfall and KE on the axis. Dead silent and stable harrier...

Ok, back to mourning
