Default Re: Looking for buddy-box training in Rocky Mount, NC

Just noticed this. Some questions. How long have you been doing helis? Have you mastered your hovering in all angles? Seems like alot of new heli pilots are trying to do forward flight when they have not gotten themselves comfortable hovering. Do you have the simulator? If not, I suggest you get one. Realflight 3, 3.5, 4, or 4.5 The sim while help you alot. Once you get your hovering exercises done, start doing figure 8's and circles in front of you. If you can't do those yet, then you are not ready to do forward flight yet. Keep doing more hovering until you can hold over a spot while turning the heli facing it in every direction, including face in. When you get better, I always suggest a little bit of 3D edjumacation for a good reason. When you get into trouble, the 3D knowledge will save your ass by being able to save the heli in any goofy situation. Goodluck. Steve
