Default Re: where do i get deans solder

They have quit making it best I can tell. I have searched all of the internet. It was the best..... I have tried Radio Shack about 3 different kinds, Novak, stay-brite, and none work as well.

With enough digging, I did manage to find out Deans is no-clean flux 62% Tin, 36% Lead, 2% Silver solder.

I found some that is just as good (way better than the others listed above), I think it is the same....stuff-smells the same anyway. The only difference is that it is a much thinner gauge (I just twist two strands together when soldering connectors), and I have only found it in big spools. So I now have a lifetime supply.

Part Number: 7758A4 ($40 for a 1 lb spool)

If you find it in a thicker gauge or in smaller quantities let us know.
