Why use long arms? You start to lose torque after an inch. All servos are rated at 1 inch arms. |

that is only correct assuming that the surface horn will be kept the same length.
Its a ratio, you have 2" servo 1" surface you have 1/2 the torque
If you have 2" servo and 2" surface you have 1/1 torque
if you have 1" servo and 2" surface you have 2/1 torque
