Re: Hanger 9 Suhkoi fuel tank base
Thanks for the info. I guess I should have read before buying, but I will fly it untill it turns to tooth picks and enjoy it the best I can. I will take your advice and look into the builder threads. I didn't previously because, well I didn't know there were threads for it and I didn't build it. Bought it based on looks and the RTF price RCHobbys gave me.
I pay to have my planes built most of the time. I am more into flying them than working on them, but I do find myself working on them to keep them up.
Our latest project is a 40% Aeroworks Ultimate, which I bought from a post here in the SwapShop. Hopefully it has no (or at least not as many) issues. We plan to do the trim flight tomorrow or Wed. DA 150 and all the other good stuff you'd expect a plane of its caliber to have.
So far I am not sure about the large gassers. I have a Cermark Edge 540 which to date is my favorite plane to fly. Cermark markets it as a 28%. It's wing span is 76", 71" long and a wing area of 1147 sq in. The power is an E-Flite Power 160, Scorpion Controller with 10s lipos 5000mah (two 5s in series at 20C). It weighs just under 14 pounds RTF. It flys 10+ minutes with time to spare for a failed landing. I plan to buy a second Edge ARF from Cermark to have on hand incase I drop this one while learning. Did I mention I love it!
Anyway, thanks again for the direction. I will post some pics and vids of my toys and my learning some time soon.
