Another year has passed us by and we are getting close to another FX3D event, this will be our third year of having a blast, hanging out with good friends, and flying our butts off for a good cause. We have donated over $6500 to the Children of Fallen Solders Relief Fund so far and we are hoping to add a few thousand to that this coming year. Our event has been very successful and I have to thank everyone who has attended, contributed, and volunteered; from the pilots who spend their hard earned money, to the sponsors who help us out with amazing prizes, and to the volunteers who put up with me and my quirks. I can’t say enough about all of you.
This year’s event is going to be ran the same as it was the previous years, We don’t have to worry about noon time demos, or demonstration flights, this event is for the pilots who want to show what they have or don’t have (like me). We have extended the event one more day to start on Wednesday the 24th thru Sunday the 28th; we decided to do this since some guys show up on the Sunday before (shout out Illinois). We already have conformation on most of the sponsors from last year, and I’m sure we will see a couple of new ones.
Our facility is still in top condition (home of the 2009 IMAC Regionals) with a covered pavilion, modern bathrooms (no showers) some electric for chargers, plenty of RV parking (no electrical hook-ups), Dave will be running the kitchen everyday at lunch and of course don’t forget the Saturday night barbeque.
I look forward to seeing you guys again and hope to see many more new faces. I will be dipping my rudders in the kiddy pool this year, one way or another. Take a look at what the Children of Fallen Solders Relief Fund does for our troops. http://www.cfsrf.org/
